I've never been the type of person who eats just because I need energy. I eat because I absolutely love food! I would even go so far as describing myself as a human dustbin (glamorous, I know). But after eating so much of everything at Christmas, my body is crying out for a bit of goodness.
But I'm okay with that. Thankfully, I don't find eating fruit and vegetables a chore in any way. I like how wholesome, nutritious food makes me feel and that is pretty damn good! I feel bright-eyed and bushy-tailed but most importantly, I feel happy. Life is for living, after all and if you're not happy, it's not going to be all that great.
I believe in the enjoyment of food and enjoying everything in moderation. Of course, we should all be considerate of our beautiful bodies but we should also embrace the pleasure that food can bring. Whatever I eat, I try and find a nice balance and this smoothie is just that.
It's so easy to make, filling, packed full of vitamins and antioxidants and it tastes amazing. So, if you're looking for a healthy, nutritious boost, give this baby a try.
